Why Did We Create the Program?
Since our launch, rewards have only been allocated to our official pools. With this new incentive program, we aim to extend these benefits to new managers as well, thus driving the use of our pool creation and management tool. Our primary motivation is to stimulate increased utilization of our platform, which we believe will in turn enhance our Total Value Locked (TVL).
Strategically, our core team is currently focused on enhancing our platform and preparing for future growth in usage and TVL. We firmly believe that bear markets present the ideal opportunity to construct essential features for our product, so when the next bull market arrives, we are primed to gain traction and skyrocket in usage and TVL.
How Much KACY is Allocated to This Program?
A discussion will be created on our forum and a governance proposal will be put forward. Our core team believes that we can renew incentives every three months. For the next quarter, we’re considering allocating 59,000 KACY, although this will be discussed with the community and voted on in governance.
Pool Selection Process
The selection of pools that will receive benefits can also be discussed with the community. However, our initial idea is to keep this process as close as possible to our product team at the beginning. We aim to evaluate cases individually, get to know our managers, and within the KACY spending limits per quarter, decide which pools will receive incentives.
Our future interest is to establish a gauge voting system, allowing the community to use their voting power to live-decide where these incentives will be allocated. However, for the time being, at least during the next quarter, we hope to earn the community’s trust to manually allocate these rewards, always within the maximum limit established by governance. Code is law.
Community Benefits
The core benefit to our community from this program is straightforward — increased usage of the Kassandra platform. With more utilization comes more revenue, and with more revenue, we are better positioned to benefit our token holders.
We believe that adoption and usage should precede token engineering. The protocol collects a 0.5% annual fee from the Total Value Locked (TVL), and it is our intention to discuss in the future how these fees can be better used to reward our token holders. By increasing our adoption, we generate more revenue, and with more revenue, we can better compensate our token holders. This program is the first step towards that long-term goal.
